Book a tour
Alligators
The slower pace of the traditional boat is perfect for spotting American alligators basking along the shoreline or gliding through the water — up close, in their natural habitat.
Egrets, Herons & More
Snowy egrets, great blue herons, ibis, ospreys, and bald eagles fill the Basin year-round, and millions of migratory birds pass through — bring your camera.
Cypress Trees & Swamp Vegetation
Drift beneath moss-draped bald cypress — Louisiana's state tree — through Henderson Swamp, with water hyacinth and swamp vegetation changing every season.
Your Local Cajun Guide
The quieter traditional boat means your guide narrates the whole ride — history, ecosystem, and stories of the Atchafalaya from folks who grew up on it.
