Atchafalaya Basin Landing Airboat Swamp Tours is a family-owned and operated marina and swamp tour destination located in the heart of the Atchafalaya Basin. Since 1999, travelers and local residents have made the trek to our facility to enjoy fishing, touring, and other fun activities as they take in the natural sights and sounds of the swamp.
Get up close and personal with ancient mossy cypress trees, majestic bodies of water, and of course, the alligators of the Atchafalaya Basin when you schedule your tour with Captains Tucker, Craig, and Nick. As experienced airboat captains, we enjoy spending our spare time in the swamp. Now, we’re ready to accompany you and your guests into bayou territory for an amazing tour experience.
Atchafalaya Basin Landing Airboat Swamp Tours stands alone in our ability to give our guests an experience like no other. We offer a wide range of services and amenities for both local residents and tourists alike. Captains Tucker, Craig, and Nick are excited to show you and your friends and family a great time when you schedule your trip to Cajun country.
About Our Swamp Airboat Tour Guides
Tucker Friedman has been making a way of life on the Bayou since he was a kid. One of his first jobs was to help local fishermen ramp their boats at a nearby landing here on the Levee. He purchased Basin Landing in 1999 and has feverishly worked to expand it to what it is today.
When he isn’t working at the marina, he enjoys exploring the bayou, especially during fishing or duck season. Since becoming a licensed Captain, he has logged hundreds of hours on the airboats, giving visitors a glimpse of the Atchafalaya Basin (or as he calls it, his backyard). Tucker speaks both English and Cajun French.
Craig Latiolais, also known as “Bugsy”, is a highly experienced airboat operator with over 30 years of experience. A lifelong citizen of Henderson, LA, his work has taken him throughout the U.S., driving boats for various oilfield and seismic companies. Besides English, Craig also speaks Cajun French as a second language.
Since retiring from the travels of oilfield life, he enjoys spending his time in the swamp and showing guests around the place where he grew up. During his time off, he enjoys deer hunting.
The youngest of Tucker’s three children, Nick Friedman has grown up working and playing on airboats his entire life. Nick is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing and boating, but his true passion is duck hunting. Joining our crew in 2018 was a natural fit for Nick since he has worked around our boats most of his life.
