Planning your Atchafalaya Airboat Tour

At Atchafalaya Basin Landing Airboat Swamp Tours, we specialize in helping guests from both near and far to plan their airboat tour. Our fleet of four covered airboats can serve up to 50 passengers at a time, so we are a perfect destination for your company team building day, your child's science field trip, your class reunion, or your bachelor/bachelorette party. Our tours are approximately 1.5 hours long, and we will take you and your group deep into the ancient woods of the nation's oldest and largest swamp. We also have some unique views of the I-10 bridge, nearby bayous and rivers, and even a few houseboats/camps along the way. Tours run 4 times a day in the summer and 3 times a day in the winter, so if you have a group larger than 50, call us at 337.228.7880 so that we can customize a back-to-back tour for your large group. We offer discounts for military and children under 10.

What to Expect:

Since weather, wind and water levels are all important factors for passenger and guide safety, we start every day with a peek at the weather report. We have an outstanding safety record that we are very proud of, and our guides are trained for twelve months at a minimum to ensure that each passenger has the same amazing experience. Tours begin at the General Store, where we ask passengers to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. This ensures that you have enough time to get the little ones settled and grab a drink or a snack for the trip.

We provide all of our passengers with hearing protection and there is a flotation device for every passenger under their seat on the airboat. Children under the age of 10 are required by law to wear their life jacket for the duration of the tour, but we provide them to all passengers at no extra cost. Once we get out on the water, there are no restrooms on the boat, so please plan to arrive early enough to take care of the basics so that you have the most comfortable trip possible.
